Landlord Resources and Associations

The Western Montana Landlords Association (WMLA) is a non-profit organization serving landlords and property managers in western Montana. Member benefits include access to a discounted attorney, recommended legal forms, and educational resources and networking opportunities.
Rental Assistance and Housing Programs
The Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program provides rental subsidies for low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities to choose their own housing. This program is administered by the Montana Department of Commerce.
The HUD-VASH program provides rental assistance and case management services for homeless veterans. Montana Housing administers both voucher-based and project-based HUD-VASH programs.
Dispute Resolution Services
The Community Dispute Resolution Center (CDRC) of Missoula County also offers mediation services for landlord-tenant disputes.
Mediate.com maintains a directory of certified eviction mediators in Montana that provide services both in-person and via videoconference.
